When our phone system was struck by lightning overnight, the following Friday morning was challenging to say the least!  As a busy Veterinary Hospital, we obviously rely on the phones for clients calling in for emergencies, appointments, repeat prescriptions, food orders, inpatient updates, general inquiries, not to mention the back of house calls to and from suppliers, labs, referral centres, etc.  It wasn’t until the system was down that we also realised how much we used the internal splash page facility, voicemail and calling internal extension numbers.  Beaconplus were fantastic right from our initial call on the day in liaising with our systems provider to get us back and functioning at an emergency level over the weekend, before a whole new system went in on the Monday….since which we haven’t looked back!  The new system is great – just wish it could have been as a planned upgrade, rather than forced due to a freak weather occurrence!  Thanks particularly to Darren at Beaconplus for helping us through this difficult transition; his patience, good humour and persistence are commendable!
