Openreach PSTN / ISDN Switch Off Support
Openreach have been advertising the big PSTN and ISDN switch off for years, which is now scheduled to happen in January 2027 (previously this was December 2025). In order to prepare for this change, we have been helping many of our clients update their services to VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) to make their business “future proof” in line with the changes.
We have found that many businesses have accelerated their need for a more flexible telecommunication system (including remote working for example), and this is now our biggest incoming enquiry at present. Should you have ISDN and PSTN lines currently in place, you should be able to continue using these services until January 2027 (area dependent), but you may be restricted in making changes to your existing setup.

The changes will impact telephone systems, broadband service, fax (if still in use), point-of-sale terminals, redcare/dial-up alarm services and lift lines, for example.
